Have an adventure putting your technical skills to work.

Students in the College of Science and Engineering have volunteered for service organizations and landed international internships. These opportunities don’t provide credits, but they can change your life and the lives of others.

Engineers without Borders

  • Use your technical skills to help others.
  • Students with all majors are welcome.
  • Current projects include Guatemala, Haiti, and Uganda.

International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)

  • Through this organization, students help other students get paid technical internships abroad during the summer.
  • Join to learn about these incredible research experiences.
  • Past industry placements include Austria, Brazil, China, Sweden, and Scotland.

Research placements abroad

Each year, there are a limited number of opportunities for students to spend time as a research assistant at one of CSE’s international partner universities. These usually take place in the summer. Interested students should talk with CSE International Programs, as these opportunities are always evolving.
