When preparing to attend the University of Minnesota, first-year freshman and transfer students need to be aware that the College of Science and Engineering has additional steps students need to take before attending orientation.
Before you can proceed, you must activate your University of Minnesota Internet account: http://www.umn.edu/initiate. Make sure to keep a record of your Internet ID and Password as you will need this information to take your placement exams and to register for classes at orientation.
