Alumni and Friends: Make a difference by mentoring a student this school year. Mentors don't need to be U of M graduates to participate, and mentors of all experience levels - from fresh out of college to retired - are welcome. Pairs can meet virtually or in person. Sign up by Friday, Sept. 24 to be matched with a student in early October. The program runs from October-April, and the time commitment is generally 1-2 hours per month. Students: Register by Friday, Sept. 24 to be matched with an industry professional in the CSE Mentor Program. The program is open to all CSE sophomores, juniors, and seniors. A mentor can be a valuable source of information on the changing job market, and how to best position yourself for the career you want. Set the groundwork for a lasting professional network and gain access to an insider's perspective on navigating your internship search, career path, and preparing for the transition from college life to the workplace.
