Graduate Women in Biomedical Engineering (GWBME) student group wins U of M award

April 3, 2019 — At an April 2 award ceremony, the Graduate Women in Biomedical Engineering (GWBME) student group received the University of Minnesota's 2018 Tony Diggs Excellence Award for Outstanding Graduate or Professional Student Group. 

The annual award recognizes a student group who predominantly serves graduate or professional students and has demonstrated significant success and development in following the mission and goals of their group.

Current GWBME President Casey Chitwood received the award on behalf of the group. The award is now on display in the BME Department reception area. Congratulations to the GWBME officers, members, and advisors!!
