Nedda Abuhadid awarded President’s Student Leadership Service Award
April 30, 2024 — University of Minnesota BME undergraduate Nedda Abuhadid was recently awarded a 2024 President’s Student Leadership Service Award. The award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding undergraduate, graduate, and professional student leaders at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
Nedda was selected for the award for her exceptional leadership and service to the University of Minnesota and the surrounding community. She currently mentors high school students through the College of Science and Engineering’s Rooted in STEM program where she encourages students to pursue their interests in engineering and other STEM fields.
Nedda is committed to making a positive impact in her communities both in Minnesota and her home in Palestine. In her UMN community, Nedda enjoys educating her peers by speaking up and creating and sharing meaningful, thought-provoking art. She plans to return to Palestine after graduating to advance biomedical engineering in her home country.
