Researcher Spotlight: 2021 MSROP Scholars

October 21, 2021—Three Biomedical Engineering majors presented their projects at a research fair, as the culmination of an intensive 10 week program for undergraduate students of color.

During the University of Minnesota’s Multicultural Summer Research Opportunities Program students across the University work full-time with a faculty mentor on a research project. The cohort-based program includes a series of seminars preparing students for graduate school and developing research skills.

Below are the 18 MSROP Scholars from the 2021 cohort. They participated in an intensive 10-week summer program in which they worked full-time with a faculty mentor on a research project. Then, at the MSROP Showcase, scholars shared their research, scholarly and creative projects with the University community.
