2021 Institute for Engineering in Medicine (IEM) Annual Conference

IEM’s Annual Conference offers rich opportunities for participants to develop interdisciplinary collaborations between health sciences and engineering, and form teams of collaborators responding to federal/external funding opportunities. The event will open with plenary keynote talks by nationally recognized leaders, followed by an award ceremony and a lunch session in which IEM leaders will outline an overview of the Institute and options for engagement.

IPRIME Mid-Year Virtual Workshop

This workshop will address the fundamentals and applications of microfluidics. Microscale platforms offer key advantages across a variety of fields, from operational advantages of small sample volumes and high throughput to scientific advantages of probing materials at length and time scales challenging to access on the macroscale. IPRIME workshops bring together experts from both industry and academia on focused topics of mutual interest.

Women Innovators Conference

The annual Women Innovators Conference is a professional development summit designed to help female innovators connect the dots between their ideas and achieving a positive, significant impact. This event will inspire, inform, and connect women students, faculty, and business professionals in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) to strengthen and extend the diverse talent pool of women innovators in the Twin Cities.




2020 IEM Annual Conference

The Conference will begin with welcome remarks by Jakub Tolar (Dean, Medical School) and Mos Kaveh (Dean, College of Science & Engineering) followed by overviews of IEM from IEM leadership. The conference will continue with keynote talks by two distinguished speakers.
