Bharat Jalan Appointed Deputy Editor of Science Advances

CEMS congratulates Professor Bharat Jalan on his appointment as Deputy Editor of Science Advances, an open-access, multidisciplinary journal published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Professor Jalan was chosen for this position in recognition of his research distinction, broad expertise, and extensive publishing and management experience. He has served on the Science Advances Editorial Board for two years as an Associate Editor, helping guide the publication’s review process and uphold its commitment to scientific excellence. In his new role, Professor Jalan will lead a team of associate editors in the physical sciences and engineering, overseeing manuscripts in areas including synthesis, thin films and heterostructures, magnetism, electronic properties, heterointegration, and novel characterizations.

Since its launch in 2015, Science Advances has rapidly become one of the world’s leading scientific journals, having received over 180,000 submissions from 128 countries and published more than 16,000 papers.
