CEMS graduate student Kristine Loh wins SWE Outstanding Collegiate Member Award
Kristine Loh, a 2nd year PhD student in chemical engineering co-advised by Professors Vivian Ferry (CEMS) and Uwe Kortshagen (Mechanical Engineering), has received the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Outstanding Collegiate Member Award. Loh is among an elite group of recipients, with no more than 10 of these awards bestowed annually to SWE collegiate members with at least two years of SWE membership who have made an outstanding contribution to SWE, the engineering community, and their campus.
The award also recognizes Loh’s continuing dedication to SWE’s mission – striving to highlight the impact and importance of women in engineering across the globe, leading by example, and demonstrating that a career in engineering can be a fulfilling, rewarding pursuit for women of any background.
This year’s award recipients will be recognized at WE21, SWE’s annual conference, which will be held virtually on October. 21-23, 2021.
