CEMS graduate student Spencer Bingham has been featured in the SciPride 2022 video collection at the Bell Museum. Spencer is a fourth-year MSE graduate student co-advised by Professors Alon McCormick and Lee Penn (Chemistry). 

SciPride celebrates the scientific contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of Minnesota. SciPride partners include the College of Food Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS), the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), the College of Biological Sciences (CBS), the School of Public Health, the Medical School, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Liberal Arts, and the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life.
