CEMS Professor Emeritus Chris Macosko featured in Polymer Engineering & Science

May 19, 2021 - CEMS Professor Emeritus Chris Macosko was featured in the April issue of Polymer Engineering & Science (PES), a monthly journal of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE), as a prominent, influential figure in polymer research for the past 50 years. By some accounts, Macosko has supervised more than 100 PhD and masters' degree students and taught thousands of undergraduates over the span of his faculty career. In addition, he's written more than 500 scientific articles and two books and has received many accolades.

To honor the achievements and wide-ranging influence of Macosko, two of his former graduate students, Uttandaraman Sundararaj (PhD ChE '94) and Christopher E. Scott (PhD ChE '90), asked colleagues, friends, and former students to write a collection of articles for the April issue that highlighted new research findings and developments in polymers that reflect the diversity and deep expertise that Macosko brings to the discipline. The resulting 32 articles represent Macosko's legacy as a scientist, mentor, and teacher. Read the full feature via the link below.
