Shinnosuke Kamohara Receives ECS Travel Grant

MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (05/05/2026) — Congratulations to CEMS graduate student Shinnosuke Kamohara, a member of the Stoerzinger Research Group, on receiving an Electrochemical Society (ECS) Twin Cities Section Travel Grant. This prestigious award will support Kamohara’s participation in the 249th ECS Meeting in Seattle, Washington, from May 24–28, 2026.

The ECS Twin Cities Section supports student travel to ECS biannual meetings. Awardees receive up to $1,000 to be used for travel expenses, along with a one-year complimentary ECS membership and Twin Cities Section membership.

At the 249th ECS Meeting, Kamohara will deliver a presentation titled, “Understanding Challenges of Electrochemical Nitrogen Oxidation on Polycrystalline Metal Oxides.”
