Professor Haynes named to The Analytical Scientist Power List

Professor Christy Haynes has been named to The Analytical Scientist Power List 2019—a list of the top analytical researchers across the globe. Haynes is associate head of the Department of Chemistry, a Distinguished McKnight University Professor, and associate director of the Center for Sustainable Nanoparticles.

In her profile for the Power List, Haynes said that an exciting recent advance is her group’s first nanomaterial design project for agricultural applications is coming to fruition. They have been designing nanoparticles to controllably transform and release nutrients that promote healthy crop growth following uptake by a plant. Haynes also commented on the best part of the job.
