Recap: Center for Medical Device Cybersecurity Symposium

On Monday, April 12, UMN CMDC experts and industry partners came together virtually for the Center for Medical Device Cybersecurity Symposium and Capture the Flag Event. As part of the IEM Innovation Week at the Design of Medical Devices Conference, the CMDC Symposium offered an opportunity to share prospectives, initiatives and updates from government, academia and industry on the latest trends and threats in medical device cybersecurity.

In the morning, 10 speakers representing the University, industry and government agencies presented via zoom. In the afternoon, a virtual "capture the flag" event provided individual attendees or teams a chance to get hands on experience working on medical device security challenges.
