About the meeting

The presentation will include a short PowerPoint presentation over Zoom by Professor David Odde, and then other presenters will open up the meeting for questions. Other presenters include Professors Ellen Longmire, Marc Hillmyer, Perry Leo, and Edgar Arriaga.

This presentation will help you develop a clear plan for contribution prior to awarding the fellowship to qualified candidates. The presenters will give an overview of the program, process, and timelines.

We encourage faculty members to actively seek out and recruit outstanding candidates interested in faculty and research careers for this fellowship program. In addition, we encourage faculty to identify the resources, financial and otherwise, to enable successful recruitment of scholars to the University of Minnesota with the intention and hope that Fellows will ultimately join our faculty.

Three fellows will be recruited this year and three more in the following year to create a steady-state cohort of six Fellows, based on a two-year position for each fellow.

The application deadline for Fall 2021 fellows is Nov. 1, 2020.

We look forward to your joining us to hear more.
