Dean's Lunch and Learn featuring the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science

Free for CSE alumni

Join Dean Kaveh and department head C. Daniel Frisbie for a closer look at some of the innovations taking place in the Department Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.

RSVP HERE!

DEADLINE: Friday, Feb. 7, 2020

Featured speaker: Stefano Martiniani, Assistant Professor

Professor Martiniani’s research builds on statistical mechanics and scientific computing to address fundamental questions in soft matter physics, biological and engineered dynamical systems, and machine learning. During his talk, he will give an overview of the types of problems his group seeks to solve through computation and data-driven approaches. Martiniani will then cover in greater depth his group’s work on soft matter systems, and how they solved decades-old questions on the nature of the jamming transition in granular matter.

Alumni from all academic majors are welcome.
