Diversity and Inclusivity Kick-off Event

Members of the College of Science and Engineering community recently formed a Diversity & Inclusion Alliance comprised of students, faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and staff from throughout the college. The goal of this Alliance is to improve the college's climate through advancement and practice of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). The Alliance brings members of the CSE community together to identify critical DEI issues, develop action plans, and implement effective DEI practices.

The entire CSE community is invited to this year’s kickoff where you will hear about the college's DEI Strategic Plan. Everyone will also have the opportunity to participate in one of two workshops.

Remarks and DEI Strategic Plan Presentation

All students, faculty, postdocs, and staff are welcome to attend. Refreshments provided.

University of Minnesota President Joan Gabel will give opening remarks followed by a welcome and overview from CSE Dean Mos Kaveh. Members of the Alliance will then give an overview of the Alliance and outline the DEI Strategic Plan for the college.
