From first place to space: How the University of Minnesota Rocket Team is igniting careers in STEM

During Homecoming week, join the U of M Rocket Team to learn more about its mission to equip U of M students pursuing rocketry with competitive experience that includes design, leadership, and communications skills. Hear directly from project leaders about their first place win at this summer's Experimental Sounding Rocket Association Spaceport America Cup, the largest collegiate rocketry competition in the world. Additionally, learn about the team's participation in NASA’s Space Grant Midwest Rocket Competition, its High Altitude rocket, and its GOPHER program to teach students the basics of building and launching their own rocket.
