Indigenous Research Symposium
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ibrahim Garba
Dr. Ibrahim Garba is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Arizona’s College of Public Health. He holds graduate degrees in philosophy and international human rights law, with fellowships in bioethics, health policy, and regulatory science. His research explores ethics in precision medicine, health research in low-resource settings, and Indigenous participation in biomedical research. Dr. Garba has taught philosophy in the U.S. and literature in Nigeria, and his legal work focuses on collective rights in international law, especially for Indigenous Peoples.
