Two-day short course

June 2-3, 2022

A two-day Coating Process Fundamentals Short Course will be offered in person at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities starting the day after the IPRIME Annual Program Reviews!

This course provides coating engineers, scientists and researchers with an understanding of the principles of liquid-applied coating processes, including dip coating, slot coating, curtain and slide coating, multilayer coating and roll coating; and solidification phenomena, such as drying and stress development, and fundamental topics important to liquid applied-coating processes, such as wetting and rheology.

The course draws on decades of research in the Coating Process Fundamentals Program of IPRIME. The course features in-person lectures, opportunities for discussion with instructors, and a poster session.
