New Year's Moon

Celebration of Sound and Light

Come party with the Bell Museum as we celebrate another trip around the sun! Families, children, and adults are invited to join us as we leap into 2020. We will be making music, dancing, and looking at light in interesting ways. We’ll even have a special countdown at noon!

Create and dance to your own rhythm when you make and customize your own spin drum craft, then bend light and form rainbows while you experiment with prisms.

Special Guests

Beatrix*Jar invites you to become a sound artist, weaving a mural of sound while exploring the tones and ranges of vintage electronic instruments. People of all musical skill levels are invited to improvise and experiment with sound minus the pressures of a formal musical outcome. Audio playgrounds are inspired by the duo’s work leading hands-on circuit bending workshops as well as the work of sound artist John Cage, the Fluxus Art Movement and Jazz Improvisation.

All activities free with gallery admission. Tickets are available on site or online.
