You're invited to an evening of learning and discovery for the whole family in recently renovated Tate Hall.
Join the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) for a free, family-friendly evening of exploration and discovery in recently renovated Tate Hall featuring the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics, and the School of Physics and Astronomy. Enjoy an astrophysics presentation, interactive demonstrations led by the Bell Museum and CSE student groups, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences lab tours, and stargazing from the rooftop! All ages are welcome.

About the event

Highlights of the event include:

  • 30-minute presentations by the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics
  • An opportunity to stargaze on the Tate Hall rooftop and through the historical telescope in the building's dome (weather permitting)
  • Hands-on activities hosted by the Bell Museum
  • Interactive student demonstrations
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences lab tours
  • Light refreshments
