Sensory Friendly Saturday
This monthly series provides a welcoming and accessible environment for individuals, families, and children who have sensory sensitivities. Experience our Minnesota Journey gallery, temporary exhibits, the Touch & See Lab, and a brief planetarium show at 8:45 am—all with lowered lighting, quieter sounds, and fewer visitors.
This month, visitors can also get hands-on with games and activities centered around space exploration! The planetarium show will journey through the solar system, focusing on Mars as scientists plan a human voyage to our planetary neighbor.
This is an in-person event at the Bell Museum and is included in the cost of regular admission.
Registration available at the link below.
Visitors are welcome to check out additional resources like the quiet spaces, visual timers, weighted lap pads, and hearing protection if it helps make the visit more enjoyable. Read more about the museum’s other accessibility resources.
