Spotlight Science: Climate Solutions

All Ages

Recommended for all ages

Spotlight Science is a regular program connecting you to current science conducted at the University of Minnesota and in our community. Join researchers, students, and special guests for conversations and unique interactive experiences.

Join us at the Bell Museum for the start of The Great Northern, a Twin Cities festival celebrating our cold, creative winters. Connect with climate researchers and extension educators, check-out hands-on demonstrations about forest resilience and winter weather observation, explore Snow: Tiny Crystals, Global Impact exhibit, and learn how you can contribute to climate solutions. Members of the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership (MCAP) will also be on hand to chat climate with the public and answer a blizzard of questions! As an added bonus, visitors can take in the special planetarium show, Atlas of a Changing Earth, a stunning film visualizing the processes affecting our warming planet.

Thanks to special guests:

This is an in-person event at the Bell Museum. Activities and events will be held throughout the museum and are included in the cost of regular admission.
