Survey: U ranks high in nanoscience

The University has received high marks for its research and industry outreach in nanotechnology from Small Times magazine, a trade publication for the microtechnology and nanotechnology industry.

The University of Minnesota ranked among the top five U.S. universities in nanoscience research and industry outreach programs, according to the results of a survey conducted earlier this year by the magazine. Sent to more than 100 universities in the U.S., the survey measured respondents' research, educational opportunities, resources, commercialization, and outreach programs in microtechnology and nanotechnology.
