U ranks second in nanotech industrial outreach

The Institute of Technology's Nanofabrication Center, Characterization Facility, and Particle Technology Laboratory as well as the chemical engineering and materials science programs were among the reasons why Small Times magazine has ranked the University of Minnesota second among U.S. universities in industrial outreach in nanotechnology and microtechnology.
