MnDRIVE Entrepreneurship Awards—Robotics, Sensors, and Advanced Manufacturing

Apply for the MnDRIVE Robotics, Sensors, and Advanced Manufacturing Entrepreneurship Awards with emphasis on student- or faculty-initiated technology transition efforts. The maximum award will be at the level of $50,000 to support innovative ideas to transition research or design results into commercialization with the eventual aim of creating and/or retaining jobs and human capital in Minnesota.

Emphasis is on technologies related to robotics, sensing, and manufacturing, including such applications as precision and sustainable agriculture and medicine.

Students and faculty with energy and drive for new business ideas based on technologies developed at the University of Minnesota are encouraged to apply. Established businesses are not eligible for these awards.

How to submit an application:

Please submit the following required information:

  • a five-page business plan that includes, among other things, descriptions of the technology and related intellectual properties,
  • the envisioned business and business model,
  • market opportunities and competitions,
  • budget,
  • timeline, and
  • the management team.
