Professor Karypis receives COGS Outstanding Advisor Award

Professor George Karypis has received the 2020 University of Minnesota Council of Graduate Students (COGS) Outstanding Advisor Award for his excellent advising and teaching of graduate students.

He was praised for his service toward enhancing the learning experience for graduate students, and going above and beyond traditional advising requirements.

Every year, COGS recognizes faculty members for their exceptional contributions to graduate education and advising. This is a unique recognition, in that all awards winners are nominated and selected by graduate students.
