Outage Description

At 9:15am, CSE-IT began receiving reports of issues regarding network outage within all CSE departments. Symptoms include: No network connectivity and unable to connect to computer remotely.

Outage Updates

  • 10/12/2021,  At 9:51am, CSE-IT began receiving reports of issues regarding network outage within all CSE departments. Symptoms include: No network connectivity unable to connect to computers remotely. We are still investigating the cause(s) of this issue and we will update this notice once service is restored.
  • 10/12/2021, At 10:30am, After a network outage this morning affecting Keller Hall and surrounding buildings, CSE-IT is troubleshooting issues related to networked filesystems that have not adequately recovered from the outage. All services that use NFS are degraded, including Linux desktops and servers, as well as project spaces. We will will continue to provide updates as this situation progresses.
  • 10/12/2021, 01:30pm A network outage occurred at 9:50am due to a configuration change on an NTS router servicing this area. While network service was restored within several minutes, many CSE-IT services were unavailable for up to 2 hours as they recovered from the outage and cleared their backlogs. We believe this incident is resolved as of 12:00pm on 10/12/21. Please contact CSE-IT if you are still experiencing issues.
