Abstract
In this talk I will reflect on my career trajectory beginning with my time as a graduate student here at the University of Minnesota and ending with my current role as an application engineer at MathWorks. I will discuss how I first learned about a field called Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP), the reasons why I decided to transition into industry, my job search experience, the current mathematical challenges in QSP, and what I do in my current role. Drawing from lessons learned throughout my journey, I will conclude with practical advice in the form of things I wish I knew before graduating.
