ISyE Ph.D. Student Receives Honorable Mention
Industrial and Systems Engineering Ph.D. student Sanyou Mei received INFORMS Optimization Society Student Paper Honorable Mention for the paper "Accelerated First-Order Methods for Convex Optimization with Locally Lipschitz Continuous Gradient" jointly authored with Zhaosong Lu.
Along with a cash prize amount of $1,000 and a citation certificate, the prize will be presented at the Optimization Society's business meeting on Sunday October 20 during the INFORMS National Meeting in Seattle, Washington.
Mei says of the award, "This recognition is a significant honor, and I am truly grateful for all the support and resources provided by our department."
