ISyE Professor Nick Arnosti Recieves the Russell J. Penrose Excellence in Teaching Award

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2025 Russell J. Penrose Excellence in Teaching Award - Assistant Professor Nick Arnosti.

ISyE students and faculty nominated Professor Arnosti because of his fun and engaging courses, as well as his enthusiasm for the material.

" . . . this is the correct way of teaching and making students feel interested and attracted to research," says on nomination quote.

Another student nomination reflects, "Professor Arnosti is a teacher who goes above and beyond in his teaching. Instead of just presenting for a whole class, he'll use creative examples or interactive learning to demonstrate what he's trying to teach."

With his focus on student growth and engagement, and his passion for the field, Professor Arnosti's significant impact on students' educational journey and the department proves he is well deserving of this award.
