Saumya Sinha joins ISyE Faculty

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) is excited to welcome Saumya Sinha, who is joining the ISyE faculty as an Assistant Professor.

Sinha's research focuses on problems of sequential decision-making and optimization under uncertainty, motivated primarily by applications in healthcare operations, health policy and inventory control.

Previously, she was a postdoctoral scholar at Rice University, working with Prof. Andrew Schaefer in the areas of optimization and organ transplantation. She received a Ph.D. in applied mathematics under the supervision of Prof. Archis Ghate at the University of Washington, Seattle.
