BS/MFM Integrated Degree
Are you looking for an accelerated path to earn both a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master in Financial Mathematics (MFM)? The Integrated Degree Program (IDP) is designed for motivated students who want to pursuit careers in quantitative finance by completing both degrees in just five years. Ranked in the top 20 by QuantNet, the MFM program provides a deep understanding of a range of mathematical topics and their direct application in financial modeling, combined with hands-on experience through graduate-level coursework taught by industry practitioners. It’s ideal for those looking to enter the finance industry or pursue further education in related fields.

IDP Admission
After being accepted into the BS major, students will complete the internal application process during their second semester as a major, which is typically the Spring semester of the Junior year. Admission to the integrated degree program is contingent upon progress towards the Bachelor’s degree at the time of entry into the major. Students who are prepared to enter the integrated degree program typically have completed the following requirements:
- Declared Mathematics Major
- Completion of four semesters of college-level calculus.
- Completion of (or current enrollment in) at least one course from each of the following categories:
- Calculus-based Probability: MATH 5651, STAT 5101 or equivalent
- Linear algebra: MATH 4242 or equivalent
- Programming: CSCI 1133 or equivalent
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
The internal application will also require 1 letter of recommendation from a faculty member in Mathematics and a brief statement describing why the student is seeking entry into this program.
Application Details
- Submit your CV and Personal Statement as a PDF file to [email protected].
- One letter of recommendation should be sent directly by the recommender to [email protected].
