I am proud of my work as a co-organizer for the Mathematics Project at Minnesota, a workshop for undergraduates that came from groups underrepresented in mathematics. The workshop aims to increase the retention and success of students in the math major by focusing on community building, mentorship, and mathematical empowerment.

McCleary Philbin — McCleary Philbin, Mathematics PHD

The Mathematics Project at Minnesota, which was planned in 2020 and ran virtually in January 2021, is a 5-day workshop for UMN undergraduates from underrepresented groups in mathematics. MPM enriches the School of Mathematics by broadening the group of undergraduates studying math and supporting them in their mathematical studies.
