American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Award Goes to ME Graduate Student

Taaresh Taneja has been awarded the prestigious American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Martin Summerfield Propellants and Combustion Graduate Award 2024! Taneja is advised by Assistant Professor Suo Yang and works in the Computational Reactive Flow & Energy Lab. His PhD research uses computation to model linear, complex, and multiple interacting physical phenomena that can empower technological innovation such as sustainable propulsion, energy generation, and manufacturing, and help solve challenges such as pollution control to prevent climate change.

The award is given to one student per year, chosen from candidates all over the world. This is the second time a student in Yang's lab has won the Martin Summerfeld award
