Please join the Department of Mechanical Engineering as we honor the life and legacy of Regents Professor Benjamin Liu, a pioneering leader in aerosol science and a valued member of our community.
Professor Liu's groundbreaking work at the University of Minnesota laid the foundation for major advancements in environmental monitoring and air quality research. Beyond his scientific contributions, he was a generous mentor, colleague, and friend.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Professor Liu’s life and service at the university. All are welcome to attend.

Guests are invited to arrive at 9:30 a.m. for a light breakfast preceding the memorial. Following the service, all are welcome to join for an optional lunch at Tea House (2425 University Avenue SE) at noon.
