Michael Feldkamp Receives Inaugural Tamma Academic Excellence Fellowship

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is proud to announce Michael Feldkamp, 
who is advised by Assistant Professor Rachel Humann, as the recipient of the Professor Kumar K. and Padma V. Tamma Academic Excellence Endowed Fellowship.

Established by Professor and Mrs. Tamma, this fellowship recognizes top-performing undergraduate students in the Mechanical Engineering program who continue their academic journey in the ME PhD program at the University of Minnesota.

Michael joined the PhD program in Fall 2024 and is currently developing a step placement controller for a robotic prosthetic leg. This prestigious fellowship aims to inspire academic excellence and support students in their advanced research pursuits.
