Rajesh Rajamani Receives Two Prestigious Transportation Research Recognitions
IEEE Distinguished Lecturer
Rajesh Rajamani has been selected as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Society for the period of September 2024 to September 2027. This recognition honors his significant contributions to intelligent transportation systems, and as a Distinguished Lecturer, Rajesh will share his expertise with academic and industry audiences worldwide.
AASHTO Region 3 High Value Research Award
Rajesh, along with his research team—Andre Espindola and Lee Alexander—has also received the 2024 AASHTO Region 3 High Value Research Award for their project, "Influence of Autonomous and Partially Autonomous Vehicles on Minnesota Roads." This award recognizes the team’s impactful research on how autonomous vehicles will affect transportation infrastructure, with the project selected as one of the top high-value research initiatives by state DOT research directors.
