Whitney Rueckl

Treasury Risk Measurement Analyst, Agribank

Class of 2020 - Fundamentals of Quantitative Finance

Current MFM Graduate Student

The FQF program helped me build a great foundation in applied mathematics and programming in finance. I was exposed to techniques that directly relate to areas of my work as a Treasury Risk Analyst at AgriBank, such as Monte Carlo simulation and lattice modeling. I really value that the FQF and MFM programs are structured to accommodate students who are also full-time working professionals; this has made pursuing both my career and higher education goals practical and achievable. The instructors of MFM consist of a mix of professors and industry practitioners who understand how academic training translates into the workforce; they focus on topics and projects that will best prepare you for success in the industry.  The MFM’s academic and career advisors are excellent, and its broad alumni network is a great resource for young professionals. The MCFAM has so far been an excellent community to be a part of while I continue to develop myself professionally in the field of quantitative finance.
