In Memoriam: Terry L. Thibeault, 1956-2021

Terry was born August 29, 1956 to Marjorie and Lorenzo Thibeault of Minneapolis. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1974, Terry worked one or two short jobs before beginning work at the University of Minnesota in 1977.  She retired in 2018 after 41 years, the bulk of which were spent working as administrative staff first in the Astronomy office of the School of Physics and Astronomy, then in the Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics. Terry is remembered fondly by her coworkers, former students and student workers as being warm and personable.

Since retiring Terry spent her time traveling, organizing cruises with large groups of friends. She enjoyed reading, playing cribbage and was well known among her friends for her thoughtful generosity and her ability to connect with many different types of people. 

Terry passed away on November 21, 2021 after battling a recurrence of breast cancer. She was able to remain at home until the end and passed in the presence of friends and family. She is preceded in death by both her parents and her sister, Michele. Her dog Callie was adopted by a good friend.
