Messerly wins Postdoc Award

Dr. Ben Messerly, postdoctoral researcher in the School of Physics and Astronomy, won a 2022 UMN Postdoc Award for Teaching and Mentoring. Messerly was one of three across the entire University of Minnesota system recognized for his dedication to teaching and mentoring. His nominator, Professor Ken Heller said of Messerly, “In my long history at the University of Minnesota I know of no postdoc who has exhibited more dedication to teaching and mentoring that strengthens the careers of the next generation and enhances our community while significantly contributing to our mission of cutting-edge research.”

Messerly will be recognized for his award at the Postdoc Welcome Event and will receive a $250 prize.The awards were given by the University of Minnesota Postdoctoral Association.
