Sulaiman recognized by NASA with the 2024 Planetary Science Early Career Award

Assistant Professor Ali Sulaiman of the School of Physics and Astronomy has been recognized by NASA with the 2024 Planetary Science Early Career Award (ECA). The ECA program supports the research and professional development of outstanding early-career scientists.

As part of the award, Sulaiman will receive a grant of $200,000 allowing him to play an increasing role in the planetary science community in areas relevant to NASA’s Planetary Science Division. Over three years, the grant will supplement existing projects, enhance his international collaboration through early participation in the European Space Agency’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer mission, due to arrive at Jupiter in 2031, and will support outreach efforts by engaging the community with his research.
