Advisory Board Spotlight: Murad Velani

If you’re a TLI student or alum, you’ve already met our amazing faculty and staff. But we’d also like to introduce you to the members of our top-flight advisory board, which has played a crucial role in shaping our programs for 35 years.

The advisory board reviews TLI curricula, suggests new programming opportunities, supports TLI’s public engagement activities and shares formidable tech industry expertise.

This week we’d like you to meet board member Murad Velani.

Murad is known as a thought leader in formulating innovative tech-enabled strategies, improving customer experiences, and developing diverse, inclusive and high performing cultures. He’s an expert in leading, orchestrating and executing strategies to scale tech-centered enterprises.

He is currently serving as the President & CEO of Echo360, a leading global learning engagement platform. Echo360 helps instructors improve learner experiences through accessible, engaging video-based learning, reaching more than two million learners at approximately 1,200 schools and organizations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific @ www.echo360.com.

He previously served as the President & CEO of Bluespire, a digital marketing agency focused on complex, highly regulated industries of healthcare, financial services, and senior living. Prior to that, he was Chief Operating Officer at Jostens, Inc., a market leader in serving the K12, Higher Education, and Pro-athlete markets. He has served as the President of Archway; Executive Vice President & COO of Carlson Company; and several executive roles at Deluxe Corporation and IBM.


Murad has a BBA in Management Information Sciences from the University of Wisconsin and a MS in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.

Why did he choose to serve on our advisory board? “TLI’s mission of developing technology leaders with deep and broad multidisciplinary expertise resonates with my personal and professional mission,” he says.
