Capstone Winner Snapshot: Lalita Kota

Students in TLI's class of '23 have completed their capstone projects and are getting ready for graduation. We'd like to celebrate our hardworking grads by introducing some of them and telling you a bit about their backgrounds. Today we'd like to introduce Lalita Kota, honored for the best capstone project (fall term) for the Medical Device Innovation (MDI) cohort.

Lalita Kota is currently a Program Manager within the Study Devices and Digital Biomarkers team at Verily (Google x Life Sciences), an organization that advances precision health by applying AI and data science to close the gaps between research and care.

Lalita has several years of clinical operations and medical affairs experience within the medical device industry, in addition to hands-on patient care experience in the clinical setting. She has worked on a variety of cutting-edge products including blood testing at the point of care, liver diagnostics, and wearables in companies ranging from start-ups to large publicly-traded corporations.

In the future, Lalita hopes to apply her Master's degree in MDI and the extensive analysis conducted in her capstone project within the FemTech space, to help better postpartum experiences and outcomes.
