Electroposium 2.0 Zooms Onto the U of M Campus September 23
Visitors to the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus will get a glimpse into our electrified future on Monday, September 23, at the second annual Electroposium, hosted by the Technological Leadership Institute.
Electroposium 2.0 is a free event that will showcase the cutting-edge technologies driving change in the 21st century. The main hall of McNamara alumni center will be transformed into a high-tech exhibit space featuring cutting edge products and systems related to the conversion of fossil fuel power systems to electricity, and electric vehicles of all kinds will be on display.
“Last year’s Electroposium was an incredible success, and we’re putting on an even bigger event this year,” said Allison Hubel, director of TLI. “We’ll have speakers representing industry giants, live demos, networking opportunities, and a chance to see the latest in electric vehicle innovation.”
Exhibits of all kinds will fill the hall during the day-long event, and electric vehicles from Tesla, Rivian, Toro and even a Metro Transit electric bus will be on display. The Electroposium is sponsored by many of the regional players in the electrification field, including Toro, Thermo King, MinnPoly, the Defense Alliance, Design Ready Controls, Tektronix, and Great River Energy, in collaboration with the MN Department of Employment & Economic Development (DEED).
Last year’s event drew nearly 500 people to McNamara Alumni Center, making it the largest event in TLI’s history, with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivering the keynote address. In 2022 the Institute launched the nation’s first graduate certificate program in electrification.
The Electroposium runs from 830 am to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23. For more information or to register, visit the Electroposium page.
