Study ft. TLI Faculty Member Looks at Environmental Regulation, Reduction in Pollution and Competitiveness of Firms

Alfred Marcus, Honeywell/Edson W. Spencer Chair in Strategic Management and MOT & MSST faculty member, collaborated with faculty and researchers across the country and globe to explore the relationship between environmental regulation and business management. The studies found no significant, generalized drop in profitability nor competitiveness among firms as a result of environmental regulations; in fact, many firms became even more competitive as a result of "technological improvements associated with their efforts to comply with the mandatory standards."
