In the framework of the Simons collaboration on localization of waves, a large interdisciplinary project focused on the many manifestations of the phenomenon of wave localization, we have organized a workshop on the physics of disorder in semiconductors. We have focused on electronic processes in the presence of localization related to disorder in different families of semiconductor materials: perovskites, nitrides and 2D TMDCs.

This workshop gathered 36 participants, both theoreticians and experimentalists, coming from USA, UK, Taiwan and France, experts in different domains, covering a large spectrum of physical phenomena related to disorder and localization effects. During this very dense meeting, 23 speakers were invited as well as 8 poster presenters. Tutorials and keynotes talks were given on perovskites, on compositional disorder in semiconductor alloys and on the localization landscape theory. In addition, regular talks and poster sessions were the occasion for the participants to present very new results on the field.
