In the framework of the Simons collaboration on localization of waves, a large interdisciplinary project focused on the many manifestations of the phenomenon of wave localization, we organized a workshop on the physics of disorder in semiconductors. We focused on electronic processes in the presence of localization related to disorder in different families of semiconductor materials: perovskites, nitrides and 2D TMDCs.

Thirty-six participants, incuding theoreticians and experimentalists with expertise in multiple domains and hailing from USA, UK, Taiwan, and France, took part in this densely informative gathering and shared some of the newest results in their fields. Presenters gave tutorials and keynote talks covering a wide spectrum of physical phenomena related to disorder and localization effects, with 23 speakers and 8 poster presenters addressing topics such as perovskites, compositional disorder in semiconductor alloys, and the localization landscape theory.
