Wave Collaboration Lecture - Marcel Filoche

Wave PI, Marcel Filoche from École Polytechnique will give a live-streamed lecture entitled "The landscape of wave localization in complex or disordered systems."

WAVE Collaboration Annual Meeting 2021 (online)

The 2021 Simons Collaboration on Localization of Waves Annual Meeting will bring together world leading mathematicians and physicists whose work illuminates profound connections between disorder, geometric complexity, and the behavior of waves. The meeting will highlight how recent advances in mathematics yield important applications in physics involving wave localization.

Simons Foundation Lecture - Douglas Arnold

Wave PI, Douglas Arnold, Ph.D., Professor of Mathematics, School of Mathematics, University of Minnesota will present a lecture entitled "The Third Pillar Of Science" as part of the Simons Foundation Lectures (free public colloquia related to basic science and mathematics).

Workshop: Landscape theory, experiments with ultracold atoms

While Anderson localization is more than 60 years old, it is still an active subject both in theory and experiments. In this school, we intend to review both the usual theory of Anderson localization as well as the novel landscape theory. Experimentally, we will focus on clean systems enabling accurate measurements with a specific emphasis on the ultracold atom experiments. The goal is to foster knowledge in order to tackle the open problems in the field.

Calculus of Variations, Homogenization and Disorder

These meetings have been arrangesd to educate the broad audience of participants interested in exploring profound connections between disorder, geometric complexity, the behavior of waves, and recent advances in mathematical analysis for important applications in physics involving wave localization.

Wave Localization Collaboration Meeting

The Simon's Collaboration on Localization of Waves meets for a day of speakers research reports. The group will convene in the main meeting room, discuss topics, and assign participants to breakout rooms.

WAVE Collaboration Annual Meeting 2020

The 2020 Simons Collaboration on Localization of Waves Annual Meeting will bring together world leading mathematicians and physicists whose work illuminates profound connections between disorder, geometric complexity, and the behavior of waves. The meeting will introduce the greater Simons Community to the Filoche-Mayboroda ‘Landscape Law’ and spark exciting and fruitful conversations across multiple disciplines.

Simons Foundation Lecture - Alain Aspect

Alain Aspect will present a speech entitled "From Einstein's Doubts to Quantum Technologies: A New Quantum Revolution" as part of the Simons Foundation Lectures, free public colloquia related to basic science and mathematics.

Workshop: Spectral Computations In Quantum Mechanics and Applications to Material Structure

The purpose of this meeting is to introduce newcomers to the Landscape Theory and its Applications and dive deeply into how it manifests in Molecular Semiconductors, Organic Semiconductors, and the Electronic Structure of Nitride.

Short Course & Workshop: Quantum Mechanics and Semiconductors

The purpose of this meeting is to educate the collaboration on various types of disorder observed in Wave Localization and develop a common language to explain the physical properties in quantum mechanics and semiconductors. While there will be several Mathematicians in the audience, the majority of the participants will be Physicists.
