The CSE 1001 Major Exploration Fair is Monday, Sept. 28, from noon-4 p.m. at Coffman Memorial Union. The fair is required for all first-year students in CSE 1001 and is a chance to learn more about the 21 CSE undergraduate majors and connect with departments to explore your options.
Employers Merck, Epic, Bostik and Blue Origin will host information sessions and events for CSE students.
Spring 2027 study abroad program deadlines
Applications for spring 2027 study abroad programs are due soon, with most deadlines in September or October and some in November.
Medtronic will host an information session on Monday, Sept. 28, 5-6:30 p.m., Keller Hall about internships and co-ops, including its exclusive WISE internship for current first-year students. The session will feature intern alumni and Medtronic employees. Space is limited, so students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible.
Looking to explore careers in the medical device industry without the stress of a traditional career fair? Drop by the CSE Industry Spotlight on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 10 a.m.-noon, Lind Hall Courtyard for a free donut and coffee, company swag and casual conversations with local health tech employers between classes.
What could the future of public media look like for 18- to 24-year-olds? On Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Walter Library’s Toaster Ideation Hub, College Emerging Voices invites students to use human-centered design to brainstorm, prototype and test ideas for a hit program, event or service that genuinely excites young adults and inspires them to engage with public media at scale.
Last chance to sign up for the CSE Mentor Program by Friday, Oct. 2
Friday, Oct. 2, is the final day for sophomore, junior, and senior CSE students to sign up to be matched with an industry mentor working in your major or career of interest. Mentors can provide advice on succeeding academically, finding a job or internship, exploring graduate school, and making professional connections. Space is limited so sign up now!
Now is the time to explore undergraduate research! Participating in research is a great way to gain experience and build your resume. It can provide opportunities to explore different majors and expand your network. The next deadline for on-campus paid research is March 16. You can also get help and advice about research during drop-in hours.
